WALLPS / FOR MACOS
Different wallpapers
for desktop & lock screen.
Pick two images. Wallps keeps them apart —
zero flash, every time you lock.
Note: As the app is not notarized yet, run this in Terminal after moving to Applications:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Wallps.app/
What is Wallps?
Wallps is a small macOS menu bar app for people who want a different image on their desktop and lock screen. macOS normally renders both surfaces from the desktop wallpaper; Wallps keeps the two choices separate and reapplies them when the Mac locks, wakes, sleeps, logs out, or restarts.
Choose a desktop image and a lock screen image, then let Wallps keep them in sync. It supports macOS 13 and later, multiple displays, drag-and-drop image selection, optional launch at login, and a menu bar control for checking or refreshing both wallpapers.
- Use Wallps when a separate lock screen image matters to your workspace or privacy.
- Download the free app or inspect and build the open-source project.
- Read the about page, contact details, or privacy policy before installing.
